Data we collect

• Identity and contact details you submit via inquiry or newsletter forms (name, email, message content, engagement interest, fiscal year-end)
• Technical data such as browser type and pages visited when analytics cookies are accepted
• Engagement correspondence and working-paper contact details once you become a client (governed also by the engagement letter)

We do not ask for passwords, payment card numbers, or national identity numbers through the public website forms.

Purposes

We process data to respond to scoping requests, provide fee proposals, deliver audit and assurance engagements, send optional briefing emails you subscribed to, and improve site usability where analytics are allowed.

Legal bases

Depending on context under applicable Japanese law and, where relevant, other regimes: performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps, legitimate interests in operating a professional practice, and consent for non-essential cookies and marketing emails.

Retention

Inquiry messages are retained up to 24 months if no engagement follows, unless a longer period is required for dispute handling. Client engagement records follow professional retention standards stated in the engagement letter (typically several years after the opinion date). Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data follow cookie lifetimes described on our cookies page.

Sharing

We share personal data with service providers who host email or site infrastructure, and with professional advisers when required. We do not sell personal data. Subsidiary contacts shared for consolidation work are used only for the engagement.

International transfers

If a provider processes data outside Japan, we take steps appropriate under applicable law, such as contractual safeguards, before transfer.

Your rights

Subject to Japanese law, you may request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of personal data we hold, and you may withdraw cookie or marketing consent without affecting site access. Security

We apply reasonable administrative and technical measures appropriate to a professional services firm. No method of transmission over the internet is fully secure.
